Dear Parents and Guardians,
I want to make you aware of an incident that occurred on campus involving a parent who became upset about a school decision and directed profane and threatening language toward staff. The individual’s behavior was witnessed by other parents, students, and staff members. No students were threatened.
Our administrators and Safety and Security team, along with the Little Rock Police Department, responded quickly, and the parent left campus without further incident. The Little Rock School District has clear policies regarding aggressive or threatening behavior, and this matter will be addressed according to District policy and the law.
The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families remain our top priority. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and respectful school environment. If you have questions, please feel free to contact my office.

Panthers: See the flyer for information about the Billy Mitchell boys and girls clubs annual basketball league sign ups.

Seventh grade science students in Ms. Scott's class are learning about how energy transfers in an ecosystem and the 10% rule. Students illustrated the transfer of energy between trophic levels in a food chain by doing a relay race and handing off popcorn (which represented energy). Students then came back into class and did calculations about how much “energy” was left over.
Families: LRSD's Parent, Family, and Community Engagement event is this Saturday from 10:00- 12:30 at Henderson.
