Eli's previous books include Don't Know Tough, Ozark Dogs, and Broiler, which have made numerous "best of the year" lists, including the New York Times, USA Today, Amazon Editors, and others. His work has been nominated for nearly every major award in the crime fiction genre, and most recently the prestigious Mark Twain Voice in American Literature Award. More Science fun at PHMS!

In her 7th grade science students are looking at renewable resources in ecosystems. Students are learning that they must manage resources well in order for them to return. Students get resources (chips) that are available to everyone at once. The chips represent renewable resources. Students first do not speak with each other and get resources. Students then get to speak with each other and come up with a plant to help share the “resources” as a group and allow resources to grow by leaving some resources.

Fun things are happening at PHMS!

In Ms. Scott's Physical Science classes today students were given a set of cards that contain certain patterns. Students then had to organize the cards into some logical order. They were asked to explain their reasoning to their group and to construct four rules that govern the arrangement of the cards. Working in their small groups, the students are then asked to predict the two missing cards.
