Good Day PHMS Stakeholders,

We have previously announced that Governor Sanders will be on the campus of Pulaski Heights Elementary & Pulaski Heights Middle School on March 10th at 7:00am. Senator Clarke Tucker and several other members of the Arkansas Legislature will also be present. March is Breakfast Month and I'm compelled to remind that under Act 123 of 2025 (School Breakfast for All), breakfast is free for every student! We need more students to participate. Breakfast begins each day from 8:00am- 8:30am. Bus riders who arrive after this block of time are still allowed to participate.

Please consider taking advantage of this opportunity. Studies & statistics strongly suggest that student perform better when they have participated in breakfast.

Good Morning Stakeholders, •	We appreciate each of you who were able to attend yesterday's Parent Teacher Conferences. Please continue your efforts to be involved in your student's academic growth and performance. •	This week, we are continuing our ATLAS Interim make-up assessment. Thus far, the school has experienced measurable growth from the Fall Interim to the Winter Interim among each grade level in ELA, Math, and Science. Please be certain to continue to encourage your student to perform their best possible on these assessments. The Summative (final) Assessment will occur this April. •	Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders will visit the campuses of Pulaski Heights Elementary & Pulaski Heights Middle School on March 10th in recognition of the implementation of the state's public education breakfast program. Her visit will occur prior to the beginning of our school day. •	We are rebranding our attempts to encourage appropriate hallway traffic. PHMS will no longer announce "No Pass Days", rather this has been rebranded as "Pass Approval Procedures". This implies that ALL STUDENTS will maintain access to the restroom and other areas of the campus with the approval of the front office and/or administration.
Please support our basketball programs. With great coaching & exceptional student -athlete performance, we are fortunate to have 4 teams competing for championships. •	Our Varsity Girl's team will play Wednesday, February 18th @ 5:30pm. If they are successful, they will advance to the finals this Saturday at Parkview High School Gymnasium (Time TBA). This game will take place in the PHMS Gymnasium. •	Our Varsity Boy's team will play immediately after the Girls team on Wednesday, February 18th. If they are successful, they will advance to the finals this Saturday (Time TBA). This game will take place in the PHMS Gymnasium. •	Our 7th Boy's play Thursday, February 19th at Horace Mann @ 5:30.
