You are to pay Mrs. Sherrill next door to Mrs. Hardiman and she will give you a receipt to take to the media center for your badge. 4. THE GEMS PROGRAM FOR GIRLS will meet this Saturday from 10:00-2:00 at the Southwest High School Cafeteria. Lunch will be provided. Parents are asked to attend the first hour to receive information on volunteer opportunities. Be sure to stop by the front office if you are needing additional information. 5. SUMMER 2025 - Are you looking for an amazing way to spend your summer? Señora Coon will be leading a trip this June to Paris, Barcelona, and several different areas in southern Spain, including the Sun Coast and a day trip to Morocco. If you would like to hear more about this exciting travel opportunity for students and families, there will be an informational meeting on Thursday, September 26th, at 6 pm. 6. Good Afternoon PHMS Community, Each year we encourage parents to complete the Free & Reduced Lunch Application regardless of household income. The USA Department of Education authorizes support and resources to individual schools that meet the 50% threshold each school year. Last year, 60.1% of our parents completed this application; this year only 49.22%. In previous years, this funding supported afterschool programs, nutritional needs, and academic support materials. If you (or another panther parent) have not responded to this request, please consider doing so immediately. The game is scheduled for Thursday, October 10th during 6th block. The admission is $3.00 per student (PTSA will sell tickets during lunch on the 9th and 10th) and concessions will be sold. Stakeholders, Food deliveries from outside vendors like Grub Hub & Uber Eats are not permitted on the campus of PHMS. This constitutes a security concern since school staff & parents cannot verify the safety of the food being delivered by a complete stranger. Please remind your students not to invite outside vendors on the campus of PHMS. Delivery drivers will be asked to leave the school property.
