Woohoo!!!! We have a winner; actually TWO! Congratulations to Scarlett Best and Jacob Bogaards for being one of the 12 students chosen in the Picturing Econ Art Contest. Students were challenged to picture economics by illustrating their understanding of economic concepts. Students with the most creative pieces are awarded prize money and their artwork will be featured on the Economics Arkansas website and various social media outlets.

Good morning, LRSD families, Out of an abundance of caution and after consultation with surrounding districts, LRSD’s Safety and Security team, First Student Transportation, and the National Weather Service, LRSD will close schools and offices on Thursday and Friday, January 9-10, 2025, due to anticipated inclement weather. Forecasters predict significant freezing/snow conditions moving into our area starting tomorrow. All athletic events are also canceled. In making weather-related decisions, LRSD prioritizes the safety of students and staff. LRSD staff, please monitor your emails for additional instructions from our Human Resources Department. As a reminder, LRSD will keep staff and families updated through our App, social media platforms, website, LRSD TV, and our traditional media partners. Hello WMS Eagle families! School wide Spelling Bee is scheduled to start at 9:00. We will have a live FB started after the spellers get in and settled and do a practice run through of how the flow of the staging area moves. Stay tuned! Connection isn't great in the room where the spelling bee is being held. If it doesn't go live, we will work to post it afterwards.

WME Family and Friends, Our 5th grade students had the pleasure of going to a middle showcase at Horace Mann Middle School. Our students had the opportunity to preview clubs, tour the campus, and learn all about the amazing things going on at HMMS. Our very own Scarlett answered a ballet trivia question and won a ballet bar and mat. #LRSD
