Watson Families, We are excited to welcome our scholars back to school tomorrow morning. Please be aware that parent-teacher conferences are scheduled from 3 pm to 6 pm tomorrow evening, leading to the cancellation of our tutoring program. Starting tomorrow, we kick off our Black History Month spirit activities. The theme for tomorrow is Black Out, and we encourage all participants to dress in all black. You can find a comprehensive list of activities for the next two weeks on our social media platforms, and a printed copy will be sent home in the Tuesday folder. We sincerely appreciate your ongoing support for Watson and our initiatives. It is because of families like yours that our #EaglesSOAR to even greater heights.

This is a friendly reminder that schools are open tomorrow, February 16th. Parent-teacher conferences originally scheduled for tomorrow will be held after school on Tuesday, February 20th.

Due to parent-teacher conferences being scheduled from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm this afternoon, boot camp has been canceled. All students who ride the buses/ vans will be sent home via their regular routes. All car riders will need to be picked up during dismissal times. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Good evening, Watson families! This is Principal Jackson, calling to remind you that we will have our joint "Community Cafe: Talk & Chill with LRSD" this evening at Chicot. This is your opportunity to meet with the superintendent and school board staff to help with ideas for the upcoming school year. The meeting begins at 5:00 pm and will run until 6:30 pm. Thank you for your support of this initiative and many others. It is because of families like yours that our #EaglesSOAR even higher.

Watson Families, Watson values you as partners in your children’s education and in the spirit of transparency, I want to make you aware of an incident that occurred after school yesterday. After learning of a custody dispute, we took a proactive stance to ensure the safety of the campus by promptly contacting our Safety and Security team and Little Rock Police as a precaution in the event the non-custodial parent showed up.  When the parent arrived, police took immediate action and successfully took her into custody. The subsequent investigation revealed that there were weapons in the parent's vehicle. At no time did the parent threaten anyone; however, the incident is now a police matter. We are grateful for the presence of security and for the professionalism and efficiency displayed by the police.  We also commend our staff for their quick thinking and commitment to the safety of our school community. We believe this was an isolated incident but will remain vigilant in our protocols. It takes all of us working together to ensure safe schools and we appreciate the support you provide our school daily.  If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out to the school administration.
