Due to expected inclement weather, the “Blue at the Zoo” event at the Little Rock Zoo has been postponed and rescheduled for Wednesday, April 16th, from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. We hope you can still join us! 2nd annual “Blue at the Zoo” event to your office. This is a free event in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month and is all about strengthening families and preventing child abuse. And guess what? It’s completely FREE for the whole family! Please note: Space is limited, so you must RSVP again, even if you previously registered.

MOST RECENT UPDATE FOR PRE-K (ECC) PER LRSD: Due to threat of severe weather today, LRSD will dismiss PREK schools at 1:30PM. made in consultation with Nat Weather Service, LRSD emergency transportation teams & surrounding districts. If tornado alert is activated at dismissal, will initiate shelter-in-place procedures.

Due to forecast, afterschool CARE has been canceled. Regular 2:30 PM dismissal remains in place, but we are monitoring conditions and will update if plans change. Parents may pick up students early. If tornado sirens sound, we will shelter in place. Check LRSD app, texts, website, and social media for updates.

Due to the threat of severe weather moving into our area, LRSD will dismiss school early today, all after-school activities are cancelled, and CARE will be closed. Elementary sites will dismiss at 1:30 p.m., followed by secondary schools at 2:30 p.m. This decision was made in the best interest of students and staff, in consultation with the National Weather Service, LRSD’s Emergency Management and Transportation teams, and surrounding districts. Please note that if tornado sirens are activated during these dismissal times, we will initiate our shelter-in-place procedures, and building doors will be locked until the threat has passed. Thank you for your understanding as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Please stay safe.

ALWAYS watch for students and others in the parking lot, drive slowly, abide by speed limit & speed bumps. ABSOLUTELY NO loud music.
