Several LRSD schools have been recognized in the Central Arkansas 2024 Best of the Best Contest by the readers of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette! Roberts Elementary and Jefferson Elementary were named runners-up for Best Public Elementary School. Pulaski Heights Middle School took home the title of Best Public Middle School, and Little Rock Central High School was named Best Public High School. We’re proud of our schools and the incredible work of our students, staff, and community!

An annoucement from Nurse Perkins: Students will bring home flu forms today. Flu Clinic is Friday, October 25th from 12:30-2:30. Forms may be turned in to Nurse Perkins They must be completed front and back to recieve the vaccine. 💉 Let's all do our part to keep PHMS safe and healthy. Stakeholders, Our School Resource Officer (Ticey) received a call from LRPD regarding a potential incident at a nearby business. According to the report, an individual entered the business and referenced his possession of a weapon. The employees never saw the weapon and the individual left the premises immediately. The LRPD responded with neighborhood patrols, LRSD Security dispatched addtional officers, and out of an abundance of caution, we elected to restrict students' outside access. Subsequently, we received additional notice that LRPD patrols did not find the individual in the proximity of the campus, and the potential threat to the school was low. Please know that we will continue to consider all instances of potential security risks seriously. The safety of students, staff, and visitors on this campus is our greatest priority. CHECK-US OUT DAYS!! Pulaski Heights Middle School is offering shadowing days for 5th grade students. Students will receive a tour of the campus, participate in a Q&A with PHMS students, attend a portion of first and second period classes, and experience the PHMS hallways during a class change. Shadow Days are: Tuesday, Nov. 5 – Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024 and Tuesday, Nov. 12 - Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024 from 8:45am to 11am.
