🎭 Last week, our 3rd and 4th grade scholars enjoyed “Arkansas Adventures,” an original production by LRSD's Parkview High School featuring stories about Arkansas’s only dinosaur discovery, a Quapaw folk tale, the founding of Little Rock, and the lives of inspiring Arkansans. Thanks to Parkview for sharing your talent and creativity. In a few short years, our scholars could be future Parkview Patriots performing at Chicot!🐾🐆

Good Afternoon Families,

We’ve had a wonderful start to the school year! While it may seem early, open enrollment is just around the corner. In addition to our regular offerings and pending state approval, LRSD is launching a Dual Immersion Program at Chicot for the 2026–2027 school year, and we’d love your feedback.

Key Points:

  • This program will launch with the kindergarten class of 2026 having a limited number of kindergarten seats available.

  • A two-way model will be an option for both English- and Spanish-speaking scholars, with instruction in both languages. Scholars in this program would continue this approach from kindergarten - 5th grade.

  • The goal is to help students become bilingual, biliterate, and confident thinkers. Scholars in this program would continue this approach from kindergarten - 5th grade.

  • Adding a Dual Immersion Program would not change our existing offerings—it would simply provide an additional opportunity for limited number of families and their scholars.

📅 Parent Information Meeting, Chicot Cafeteria
Wednesday, Oct. 1 | 8:00–9:30 a.m.

See the attached flyer for more details!
