In addition to a wonderful Polar Express Day, we had another special reason to celebrate today! In a school filled with incredible teachers, Ms. Quarles has been selected as our 2025–2026 Chicot Teacher of the Year! In addition to serving as one of our outstanding 4th grade teachers, Ms. Quarles generously gives her time and talents to numerous school initiatives. She is our Leader in Me Lighthouse Coordinator, serves on our Academic Leadership Team, and volunteers for a variety of school projects. Ms. Quarles—thank you for your scholar-centered service and unwavering commitment to our school community. We are proud to announce you as our 2025–2026 Chicot Teacher of the Year! 🐆👏🎉

Chicot felt so festive, we thought we were at the North Pole ❄️ Tomorrow, let’s keep the magic going with Holiday Lights Day ✨ Students are invited to wear red, green, white, gold, or silver to help light up the school. We can’t wait to see Chicot shine!

Happy Win-Win Wednesday!!! Please take a look at our Sister/Brother Group!!! We meet each day in the morning, then back again before dismissal! We are working towards internalizing and applying the 8 habits! We identify a habit each week and discuss how we will meet our goal!!! Right now we are focusing on meeting the goal 3 out of 5 days! When meeting the goal, the scholars receive a small incentive!!! Parents, thank you for your support!!!

The Reading in The Rock book distribution today has made this Tuesday the most exciting Tuesday ever for our 1st and 2nd grade students! 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will get to choose their books tomorrow. Remember, readers are leaders. So, let's encourage reading every day!

Awesome Library Surpise Update! Thanks to the City of Little Rock, the Little Rock School District and all of our partners for Reading in the Rock. Because of this synergy, every single Chicot student, PreK through 5th grade, will get to come and choose 5 FREE brand-new books to keep for their home libraries! We started today with PreK and kindergarten. By Wednesday afternoon, every student will have received their books! Keep your eyes out for all your students' books. Let's create a school full of kids who love to read and read to learn!

The second session of our English classes will take place on Wednesday, December 17. Families are invited to join us to practice everyday conversation and learn useful phrases for daily life. For questions or additional information, please call (501) 447-7025.

Dear Parents,
We are noticing an increase in students being sent to school after receiving medication at home. If a child requires medication for an illness, they should remain at home to rest and recover.
We are currently seeing higher numbers of flu cases in our community, and we appreciate your help in keeping all students and staff healthy—especially as we approach the holidays.

Stock the Rock the Wright Way!! Shout-out to our Chicot community for coming together to donate food and showing Habit 6: Synergize at its best. Our fourth
grade scholars also stepped up with Habit 1: Be Proactive and stocked the pantry like champs. We're proud of our cheetahs! 🐆💙
