Our students had the exciting opportunity to meet author Wesley Peters, creator of Bullies. He captivated our students with his storytelling, shared powerful lessons about kindness and accountability, and encouraged them to use their voices in positive ways.
The cafeteria was filled with curiosity, great questions, and lots of inspiration! Thank you, Mr. Peters, for pouring into our students and helping them think deeply about their choices and the impact they can make.

Chicot Elementary is honored to be able to support our school community once again this Thanksgiving season. This year, we will be providing 100 turkeys/hens and 100 food boxes filled with traditional holiday favorites for our PreK–5th grade families. Distribution will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
📅 Tuesday, November 18 | 4–5 PM
📍 Chicot Car Rider Loop
If you are unable to attend Tuesday, a second distribution opportunity will be available on Thursday, November 20 from 4–5 PM. We are deeply grateful to the donors and partners whose generosity made this possible. Their support ensures that our families can celebrate this holiday season with warmth, connection, and tradition. Thank you for being part of what makes Chicot stronger!

Our kindergarten and first grade scholars had an unforgettable recess today! The playground was filled with smiles and excitement as the amazing high school scholars from Little Rock Christian Academy came out to play, encourage, and serve our younger learners. What a beautiful example of leadership, mentorship, and school-wide community!”

There is much to be thankful for at Chicot! Today, our kindergarten scholars and Chicot Stars Choir celebrated all those that serve or have served in the military at our Veterans Day Program. From classics to new editions, their musical expressions of gratitude were heartfelt!
At the conclusion of the program, we also had the opportunity to recognize one of our "Hometown Heroes," 1st grade teacher, Ms. Holloway. In partnership with Modern Woodman, Ms. Holloway was joined by her family to receive this surprise recognition. She has served 29 years as an educator and 25 of those years have been at Chicot. As a primary teacher, she has touched countless young people and colleagues. In her remarks, Ms. Holloway shared she wakes up looking forward to going to school every day and plans to be at Chicot for many years to come!
It takes us all--veterans, teachers, community leaders, families--everyone--giving their best to ensure a successful future for all!
We thank you!
