
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ for generously providing over 30 food boxes for our Carver families this Thanksgiving. We also appreciate Mrs. Carter and Mr. Cooper for their assistance in bringing this support to our school. Yesterday, Mrs. Ezell's 5th-grade students explored dividing fractions through hands-on activities. Using paper strips and folding techniques, they observed how the pieces of a whole change when divided, helping them better understand the concept of fraction division.

Last night, we hosted our annual Literacy Night at Carver, which was especially meaningful as it coincided with National Family Literacy Month. We were fortunate to welcome several authors, community visitors, and vendors who made presentations and had the opportunity to interact with our attendees.
A special thank you goes to Patrick Oliver for organizing the event, and to the National Park Service for their generous sponsorship. We also want to acknowledge Ms. Morgan for her dedication in bringing this event to Carver, as well as the other staff members who worked tirelessly to plan and support the evening.
Thanks to their collective efforts, it was a wonderful and successful night for everyone involved!

On Tuesday, our third-grade students had an out-of-this-world experience at the UCA Planetarium in Conway! They explored the wonders of space, learning about constellations and the mysteries of the universe. What an amazing adventure into the cosmos!

Last Friday, Carver's third-grade students celebrated Día de los Muertos! Families brought delicious food and special items to share, teaching students about this meaningful holiday and its rich traditions. It was a wonderful learning experience for all!

Today, Carver students participated in a mock election after reading Duck for President and Grace for President. The final vote was Grace – 111, Duck – 60. It was a fun and educational experience, helping students learn about civic duty and the election process.

It's Book Character Dress-Up Day at Carver! Students were encouraged to wear costumes representing their favorite book characters. We hope everyone enjoyed the festivities and has a safe and Happy Halloween!

Our third-grade students attended the Red Ribbon Rally downtown today to support a drug-free lifestyle. We extend our thanks to Mr. Cooper for organizing this event and to our third-grade team and Mr. Grant for accompanying our students to this meaningful gathering.

Today, the Pumpkin Patch visited Carver, providing our K-2 students with the opportunity to interact with rabbits and chickens. Each student also received a pumpkin to take home. Please take a moment to view the pictures showcasing the fun experiences!

Today, students visited our school store to redeem points they earned over the first nine weeks. Here's a photo of Mrs. Jones's Kindergarten students with their rewards! Special thanks to Falcon-Jet for donating Halloween costumes, which added to the excitement of this incentive!

Author and Carver alumnus Wesley Peters visited our 4th and 5th graders to discuss his latest book on bullying. Students engaged in interactive activities to learn why bullying is wrong. Thanks to Ms. Morgan for organizing! All students will receive copies later this semester.

Today, our students united for "Teaming Up Against Drugs," showing their support for a drug-free lifestyle in team uniforms (see photos). Tomorrow, we continue with "Wilde About Making Wise Decisions," and students are encouraged to wear green, camo, or animal print.

We kicked off Red Ribbon Week with a "Cap on Drugs" theme, where students and staff wore their favorite hats to support a drug-free lifestyle. Tomorrow, we’ll continue the initiative by teaming up against drugs—everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite team jerseys!

Today was the first meeting of the Young Gent’s Club with Mr. Cooper! He shared great insights on what it means to be a true gentleman—focusing on leadership, respect, and making a positive impact. Looking forward to more!
