With several career pathways at Metro Career Tech, including programs in Automation, LPN Nursing, and Cybersecurity, students can jump-start their futures in high-demand fields. Little Rock Central High School’s Jason McCann kicked off The American Student art show at Thea Foundation. Guests enjoyed an evening of art, conversation, and refreshments from Heritage Catering. The exhibition, sponsored by Delta Dental of Arkansas, highlights McCann’s unique perspective and talent. Those who missed the opening can still visit the gallery during the Argenta Third Friday Art Walk on February 21 or during regular gallery hours, Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Pinnacle View Middle School - LRSD’s FBLA members made an impressive showing at the District V Leadership Conference at UCA! The chapter earned 3rd place for largest membership and 4th place for largest membership market share. Sunrise Skillet  Ingredients:  8 large eggs ¼ cup of skim milk ¼ teaspoon of black pepper Nonstick cooking spray 1 cup of diced fresh mushrooms 1 cup of chopped broccoli florets ½ cup of chopped onions ½ cup of chopped red or green bell peppers 1 cup of shredded low-fat cheese Directions:  Crack the eggs into a medium-sized bowl. Add the milk and black pepper to the bowl and beat the mixture well. Spray a skillet with nonstick cooking spray and heat it on medium. Add the mushrooms, broccoli, onions, and bell peppers to the skillet. Cook and stir for about 3 minutes. Pour the egg mixture over the vegetables in the skillet. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until the eggs are set. Sprinkle the cheese over the eggs and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until the cheese melts. Serve immediately and enjoy!

The event featured an interactive martial arts demonstration from ATA Martial Arts, a fashion show, a music performance, and a lively parade with students and staff. This marks the first year of King’s language magnet program, and students were proud to showcase their Mandarin skills and cultural knowledge.
