Scarlett Best (5th grade) and Jacob Bogaards (4th grade) from Williams Elementary were among 12 students across Arkansas selected as winners in the Picturing Econ Art Competition. The Southwestern Region of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. donated $5,000 to Central High School’s Reading Club. During the donation event, students were excited to receive one of the books purchased by the donation and written by Little Rock Nine member Elizabeth Eckford. Kaye Rainey and Beatriz Varela did an outstanding job organizing the event.
