The Little Rock School District is entering a new chapter with the swearing-in of both new and returning members to the Board of Directors, marking a shift in leadership and a renewed focus on student success. The reconfigured board brings together a mix of fresh perspectives and experienced voices, creating a balanced team poised to guide the District forward. As LRSD continues its work to strengthen academics, rebuild trust, and engage the community, the Board’s leadership will play a critical role in shaping the district’s future.
During its recent organizational meeting, the Board elected its leadership for the upcoming term. Norma Johnson will serve as Board President, with Greg Adams elected as Vice President and Anna Strong serving as Secretary. Together, this leadership team will help set the tone for governance, collaboration, and accountability, working closely with Superintendent Dr. Jermall Wright to advance district priorities and ensure transparency in decision-making.
Newly elected members Selandria Jackson, Eugene Krupitsky, and Anthony Nichols join returning directors Greg Adams, Osyrus Bolly, Norma Johnson, and Anna Strong in a shared commitment to serve students, families, and staff across LRSD. Board members emphasized the importance of unity, community engagement, and keeping students at the center of every decision.
The Board transitioned from nine members to seven in alignment with a new state law. With the new configuration in place, the Board is positioned to build on progress, address challenges, and lead with a clear vision for continued growth and success across the District.
