It's time for our 2nd annual sneaker ball. This year we'll be wearing our favorite shades along with our stylish sneakers. See flyer's attached.
Come out to the Talent Show on Friday, 4/25! There will be door prizes, snacks for purchase to help support the DI team, and some great talent! Tickets are 5 dollars (cash only at the door). This would also be a great time to bring an item for The Lunch Box Program food drive going on!! See you all there!

Purple Up day to support military children was a huge sucess. Scholars have showcased empathy and understanding reagarding the many sacrifices faced by military families.

Please don't forget to send your donated food items to benefit TUMC's Lunch Box Program. One of our DI teams chose this program to support for their community service project. The Lunch Box Program provides meals for LRSD students to take home over long weekends and breaks. It is a fabulous program that benefits many of our LRSD students accross several campuses!

We would like to congratulate our very own Mrs. Tonya Baker for her exceptional dedication to supporting education, advocating for the needs of students and families within the school community, and active participation, leadership, and community service, working to create a supportive environment for all children to thrive.
Mrs. Baker received this award from Arkansas Martin Luther King Jr. Commission.
Testing is starting next week! Please ensure all scholars are at school on time, get plenty of rest, and enjoy a nutritious breakfast to help them perform their best. We want to encourage our scholars to give their all, feel supported, and approach their tests with confidence!

April is recognized as the Month of the Military Child, highlighting the important role military children play in the armed forces community. During this month, we recognize some of the military's most unsung heroes - their children. On April 15, 2025, "Purple Up!" Day encourages everyone to wear purple representing all branches of the military and showing unity with each. The color purple is chosen because it combines the colors of all branches of the military (Army green, Marine Corps red, and Coast Guard, Navy, Air Force, and Space Force blue). The goal of "Purple Up!" is to raise awareness and show support for the resilience and sacrifices of military children. I hope to see everyone wearing purple Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
