Terry Families -- This is a reminder there is no school for students tomorrow (Friday).

We have many events coming up in November! 💙

Open Enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year at the Little Rock School District begins earlier this year. You’ve probably seen messages about how “the right school can change everything” - and we couldn’t agree more. That’s why we’re reminding you that LRSD already offers everything your child needs to succeed right here at home.
LRSD offers FREE, high-quality academic programs, innovative magnet and specialty schools, and multiple pathways designed to help every student reach their full potential - from Pre-K through high school and beyond.
Enrollment for pre-K–12 will be in three phases, starting next week:
· Nov. 3-7 - Current students do not have to do anything unless they wish to apply for a magnet or specialty school. They will automatically roll up to their currently assigned school. Alternatively-assigned students will roll up to their attendance zone school. These students will receive their assignment letters for 2026-27 during this week.
· Nov. 10-21 – Current students who wish to attend a magnet or specialty school should apply during this time period.
· December 1-19 – Students who are new to the District should apply during this window.
***Please note that there is a special application process for Parkview Arts/Sciences Magnet High School and Forest Heights STEM Academy
· January 5-9, 2026 – A lottery run will occur for magnet/and specialty school assignments.
January 12-18, 2026 – Assignment letters will be sent to new LRSD students and those attending magnet/specialty schools.
Why look elsewhere when the options, support, and excellence you’re seeking are already in your community? LRSD is proud to offer families choice, opportunity, and a team of educators dedicated to every child’s success.
We invite you to explore our schools and discover why so many families are choosing LRSD. Visit www.lrsd.org/enroll or contact our Student Registration Office at (501) 447-2950 to learn more or secure your child’s spot today.
Thank you for being part of the LRSD family. We look forward to serving you!

Semester 1 electives for 4th and 5th graders are still going strong. Cooking with Ibis explored ways to stretch a recipe and learned about layering flavors. Their Frito chili pies included sour cream, fresh green onions and cilantro, hot sauce, and salsa! 😋
