Good morning 3rd–5th grade families,

Students in grades 3–5 will take the ATLAS Interim Assessment from February 3–6. It is very important that all students are at school each day and on time (7:40AM) during this testing window.

Due to recent snow days, we have missed instructional time. This assessment helps teachers understand student progress and prepare for the summative assessment in April. Student attendance is essential for accurate results and continued learning.

Please support your child by ensuring daily, on-time attendance and encouraging them to take the assessment seriously and do their best.

Thank you for your continued support.

The second meeting will be on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at Henderson (401 John Barrow Rd). Both meetings will cover the same information. Graphic from Little Rock School District titled “Optimizing Our Tomorrow: Budget Conversations – Community Meetings.” The top of the image shows the Little Rock School District logo and name over a blue background with charts and data visuals. The graphic explains that the Fiscal Year 2027 budget priorities include spending only the money the District actually has, adjusting staff levels to match student enrollment, cutting overall spending to address long-term budget gaps, building a healthier savings balance for future financial challenges, and protecting programs, people, and resources that matter most to students and classrooms. The graphic invites all community members, especially parents, students, staff, and families, to participate in discussions about the future of the District and its budget. It emphasizes that community feedback is important and reflects the District’s commitment to transparency and listening. The bottom of the graphic lists two community meeting dates: February seventeenth, evening session at five thirty p.m. at Southwest Community Center; and February nineteenth, evening session at five thirty p.m. at Henderson.
