Due to expected inclement weather, the “Blue at the Zoo” event at the Little Rock Zoo has been postponed and rescheduled for Wednesday, April 16th, from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. We hope you can still join us! 2nd annual “Blue at the Zoo” event to your office. This is a free event in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month and is all about strengthening families and preventing child abuse. And guess what? It’s completely FREE for the whole family! MOST RECENT UPDATE FOR PRE-K (ECC) PER LRSD: Due to threat of severe weather today, LRSD will dismiss PREK schools at 1:30PM. made in consultation with Nat Weather Service, LRSD emergency transportation teams & surrounding districts. If tornado alert is activated at dismissal, will initiate shelter-in-place procedures.
Due to the threat of severe weather moving into our area, LRSD will dismiss school early today, all after-school activities are cancelled, and CARE will be closed. Elementary sites will dismiss at 1:30 p.m., followed by secondary schools at 2:30 p.m. This decision was made in the best interest of students and staff, in consultation with the National Weather Service, LRSD’s Emergency Management and Transportation teams, and surrounding districts. Please note that if tornado sirens are activated during these dismissal times, we will initiate our shelter-in-place procedures, and building doors will be locked until the threat has passed. Thank you for your understanding as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Please stay safe.

Romine ECC had a special reading day provided by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. LR Alumnae Chapter in honor of Women’s History Month. Our students were captivated by the fun, educational and impactful stories read to them by these wonderful ladies! We truly appreciate their visit.
