LRSD schools will be closed for students Mon., Feb. 2, due to icy conditions impacting bus routes. Employees will report to work: non-school. staff - 8:30-4:00; school-based staff 8:30-3:30 p.m. Road conditions will be checked again Mon. & families will be notified about the status of school for Tuesday.
LRSD wants to hear from you! The Little Rock School District is inviting parents, students, staff, and community members to join upcoming community meetings focused on the FY27 budget. These conversations are a chance to learn more about district priorities, ask questions, and share feedback before final decisions are made. The first meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m. at Southwest Community Center (6401 Baseline Rd). The second meeting will be on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at Henderson (401 John Barrow Rd). Both meetings will cover the same information. Come be part of the conversation as we plan responsibly for the future of LRSD.

If you have not read, please take time to read the email from Pamela Smith on behalf of Dr. Wright concerning school updates.(attached) The missed snow days will be attached to the end of the school calendar.
Make sure you take good care of yourself and family. Continue to watch your email, local news and posts for updates about school. At this time, we out today and tomorrow and will receive an update about the rest of the week.

Due to inclement weather, LRSD schools and offices will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 26-27. LRSD will continue to monitor conditions and roadways and provide an update by Tuesday on the status of schools for the remainder of the week. Enjoy the snow, and stay safe and warm!

Lots of events and activities today January 19th as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King.
The kids will especially love the "Marade" at noon on MLK and the candlelight vigil & Fireworks event on the North Shore Riverwalk Park Side starting at 5:30 PM tonight.
Please be sure to snuggle up, dress for the cold weather and enjoy the day honoring Dr. King.
