Dear Parents,
I want to inform you about a small fire that occurred on our playground this morning near one of the pieces of equipment. Our staff was able to quickly extinguish the flames before a fire crew arrived. Thankfully, no students were harmed. The fire department ensured the fire was completely out and the area was safe. Meantime, the small area will be blocked off while we continue looking into the cause. We will keep you updated as we learn more. Please know that the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Thank you for your understanding and support. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me at pam.dial@lrsd.org or 501-446-5502.
Sincerely,
Pam Dial

If you're not here, you're missing FREE food and entertainment! We will be here until 7:30!

School is out Monday, September 30th, for Parent/Teacher Conferences. We hope all of our students will have someone that can stop by to check in on their progress.

Greetings! For all families who recently filled out the Food Pantry eligibility form , I will be picking up the orders shortly and they will be ready at McDermott this afternoon. We'll also reach out to each person individually and arrange pickup or drop-off of your groceries. Enjoy, and hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! Mr. Sky

The “longest roll call” raises awareness for the 15 million U.S. students chronically absent (missing 10% or more of the school year). We're working to connect students to resources needed to show up to school ready to learn.

As you probably know, our students spin the wheel to be in a House at McDermott. We are still working to get new students their House t-shirts. Tomorrow is our first House meeting and we want all students to wear their House color or their House T-shirt! We will see which House has the most participation!
