Students in Anatomy investigating how the brain receives, processes, and reacts to stimuli by performing a "Reaction Time" experiment. Students recorded their reaction time based on the stimulus of sight, sound, and touch. #beyourbestatwest



Day 6: Last day exploring Japan! We went to 2 Shinto shrines: the Nara (deer) and Inari (fox) shrines. We also visited 2 Buddhist temples: the Great Buddha and the Golden Pavillion. On our way back to the hotel, we passed the Kyoto Tower, the tallest building in the city.









Japan Day 5: Traveled to Kyoto. On our way we stopped at Mountain villages: Takayama and Shirakawago.










Japan Day 4: Traveled to Okada to stay at a traditional Japanese Inn with Osen. Anthony and Kiera went to bath in the Hot Springs! We are currently looking at 14" in of snow on the mountain.

Japan day 3: We left the Prince Hotel and traveled around Mt. Fuji. We stopped at several points for different views. (Our new hotel is attached to a Hot Spring!)









Japan trip update: End of Day 2: Too many cool places to mention, but for a few, we visited the Meiji Shrine (Shinto), Sensoji Temple (Buddhist), Shibuya Crossing, Akihabara Electric City, then ended the day with a Karaoke session!










Morning of Day 2: About to head out and Explore Tokyo!



Mr. Chappell's trip update: Landed in Japan! Ate dinner and shopped around a bit in the 4 floor mall connected to our hotel. The various Pokémon stores were a big attraction for the students!




Mr. Chappell and a group of students are off to Japan for spring break!

All of our student congress competitors had a great showing and Delegate, Caleb Bowman, advanced to FINALS, took 6th overall, and qualified to compete at state. Our first Congressional qualifier ever!
