New Cellphone Policy – Act 122 (Middle School Only)
A new law passed by the legislature, Act 122, states that middle school students may not have cell phones out while on campus.
Here’s what you need to know:
• Middle school students will place their phones in Yondr Pouches upon arrival.
• Phones remain locked in the pouch during the school day.
• At dismissal, students will unlock their pouches using a special magnet.
• A flyer explaining Yondr is attached.
• A video demonstration by Dr. Wright is available on our school website and social media pages.
Elementary students must keep phones turned off and stored in backpacks. Failure to comply with the law will result in disciplinary action.

Dress Code Policy
Students at Fair Prep are not required to wear uniforms, but they must follow the Dress Code Policy .Please review the full guidelines here: Dress Code Policy Let’s work together to ensure all students are dressed for success!

Soar Expectations

The SOAR Matrix and the new LRSD Code of Conduct are linked to this message. Please take time to read both documents carefully to ensure understanding of student expectations and behavior guidelines.

Free Lunch
Good News! All students at Fair Prep will receive free lunch this school year. No application is needed—just show up and enjoy a nutritious meal every day!

Student Headphone Use & School Supplies Update
This year, students will not be permitted to use their own wireless headphones on campus. To ensure consistency and minimize distractions, the school will provide a set of wired headphones for each student. These will be used during class as needed and should remain at school.
In addition, the school will be providing all school supplies for students again this year—no need to bring any from home.

If you need to contact your child during the school day, please call the front office at (501) 44 7-1700 or contact your child’s teacher.
We are here to support you and your student every step of the way. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Let’s make this a fantastic year together! Thank you and have a great day.

J.A. Fair Students go to New Orleans of Spring Break
Due to the threat of severe weather moving into our area, LRSD will dismiss school early today, all after-school activities are cancelled, and CARE will be closed. Elementary sites will dismiss at 1:30 p.m., followed by secondary schools at 2:30 p.m. This decision was made in the best interest of students and staff, in consultation with the National Weather Service, LRSD’s Emergency Management and Transportation teams, and surrounding districts. Please note that if tornado sirens are activated during these dismissal times, we will initiate our shelter-in-place procedures, and building doors will be locked until the threat has passed. Thank you for your understanding as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Please stay safe.
