On January 24 two elementary schools came together to prepare to become one. Starting in the 2025-2026 school year, Carver STEAM Magnet Elementary and Washington Elementary will combine to become the Carver-Washington STEAM Magnet Elementary. In preparation for the consolidation students from Carver visited Washington and all students from both schools had the chance to experience various STEAM activities from Carver and leadership initiatives from Washington.
Students got to sit in the Young Astronaut Lab to learn about the stars and moon; they watched the Wildcat News be filmed by student leaders. First Security Bank and UAMS Green Schoolyards shared their valuable partnerships with the school that will continue next year.
In the evening students, families, and staff from both schools came back together for a SneakerBall where fashion and dance moves were on full display!
