Yesterday was World Read Aloud Day and our 5th Grade students demonstrated leadership and community! 5th-grade students partnered with 2nd grade students read them a story. Reading aloud is fun, builds strong relationships, and helps us learn new words. If you missed reading aloud yesterday, start today!

What food traditions are important to Black culture? What does your family practice? Find out with us! We're showing "High on the Hog" and sharing a meal for Black History Month. The City of Little Rock's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will have facilitators for our small group discussion. Interpreters will be available. Chicot is ALWAYS on the move! Today, our scholars competed in the LRSD VEX Robotics Tournament! Nearly 30 teams from across the state engaged in this hands-on STEM experience. Students design, build, and code their robots for the challenge. Way to go Chicot scholars!
