What a wonderful way to end the week! Grandparents/Grandfriends filled our school this morning to celebrate Grandparents' Day. Food, song, pictures, grandparent "VIP" interviews, and more took place as memories were made. We LOVE our grandparents and thank you for all you do!

Award-winning author and illustrator, Vanessa Brantley-Newton, will conduct assemblies with all K-5 students and art workshops with select classes. Please review the attached letters for important information regarding the new Arkansas Assessment System-ATLAS. Students in these grades will soon take beginning of the year assessments within the new system. Once results are made available, families will have access to their child's results online. Just two weeks into the 2024-2025 school year and our student leaders are going strong! This week students led our Leader in Me/PBIS Kick-off to ensure positive conduct expectations are followed by all! We had music, dance, videos, and presentations. Chicot=Leadership! @lrsd
