A celebration for Central's girls and boys 6A Basketball State Champions will be held on April 24, 5:30-7:00 pm. Bring your lawn chairs and we will gather on the Central's front lawn. We have several food trucks showing up and a sound system playing some music. Players and coaches will highlight the season and the historic accomplishment of both teams winning the State title.
Class of 2024!!!! The senior survey is now ready!!! All graduating seniors will need to complete the Central High Senior Survey in Xello.
1. Please login to My Class Link and click on the Xello app.
2. Once you are in Xello, please click the “Surveys” tab on the left side of the screen.
3. You should see “Central Senior Survey 2024”.
This survey is required for all graduating seniors and is part of their check out procedures for graduation. The survey allows us to gain valuable information to help guide future graduating classes.

ATLAS – We will give the ATLAS to all 9th and 10th grade students in April. The window will be open from April 15th until May 17th .
• 9th grade will take the English, Algebra and Geometry tests on Tuesday, April 16th .
• 10th grade will take English, Algebra and Geometry tests on Thursday, April 18th .
• Any student enrolled in Biology will take the ATLAS end of course Biology exam on Wednesday, April 17th .
It is very important that we test 95% of our average daily population. Please help us by ensuring your student is at school on these dates, on time, having had a good breakfast and a good night’s sleep and prepared to take these important tests. After the initial test dates, we will use the remaining time in the testing window to do make-up testing until we have tested all of our students. Students should bring calculators for these tests.
The South Main community will be holding an event to celebrate the eclipse and need student volunteers for the “Stroll through Solar System” children’s activity on April 8.
Volunteer assignment: Set up the activity station (easel, selfie frame, Chromebook on and clip running); encourage visitors to stop at the station to take a photo in the selfie frame and post it on social media and/or SoMa site; place sticker on individual's sticker card; shut down station and return all materials and supplies to designated location.
Students are encouraged to wear LRSD school pride shirts OR a SoMa Eclipse shirt.
All stations will close down for 30 minutes before and after the time period of actual Total Solar Eclipse.

If your child will be new to Central as a 9th grader, or even as an older student, we encourage them to attend LRCH TIGER ACADEMY.

What we do:
During Tiger Academy, students engage in activities to get to know others, understand what it takes to be a successful high school student, and understand how to be the best Tiger they can be. Former attendees have told us that they felt more comfortable starting school because of their experiences at Tiger Academy.
How to register:
Filling out the form found in the provided link will successfully register your child for LRCHS Tiger Academy 2024. If you have more than one child attending, you will need to submit a form for each student. You will receive an email from Google Forms with the information you submit.

Pick up and Submit form to Ms. Medley in the Guidance Office Room 217. You must have an admissions accepted letter and all Scholarships attached to form.

Congratulations Tiger Basketball! Both teams have made the 2024 State Basketball
Championship. A private ticket link for LRCH parents, student body, and patrons is now available to purchase tickets for the championship games on March 8 in Hot Springs. Tickets are $10 for adults and $9 for students. https://gofan.co/event/1407494 This link is limited until 9:00 am March 4. Unsold tickets by session will be available to the public around 9AM Monday, March 4, at https://gofan.co/app/school/AAA. After tickets go on sale to the public, the individual school’s private links will no longer be valid. Fans will then need to go to the https://gofan.co/app/school/AAA to purchase tickets. Student tickets will not be available to the public.
The English Language Proficiency Assessment for the 21st Century, or ELPA 21 will be given to English Learners at Central March 5-8 during regular school hours.
This annual assessment for English Learners is the chosen instrument by the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) to measure proficiency with the English language. Please make sure your student gets plenty of sleep and arrives at school on time with a charged Chromebook. Please also remind your student per LRSD and the ADE policy that they should not be in possession of any electronic device while testing or in the testing room.

To Parents of 11th graders:
We will give the ACT to all juniors tomorrow, February 27th. Students should bring a #2 wooden pencil and their graphing calculator. It is important that students be on time as we will begin promptly at 9:00 am.
To Parents of 9th and 10th graders.
We will begin our End of Course testing Tuesday, March 5th and 6th, for 9th and 10th grade students and test through March 15th. It is VERY important that all 9th and 10th grade students be in class at 9:00 am on these dates. It is imperative that we test 95% of our students! Not doing so will result in our school being subject to sanctions from the district and state. Please work with us to ensure your child is at school to be tested during this time.
