Good evening parents,
We wanted to follow up with you regarding an incident near our campus today that did not have anything to do with our school. A man was near the campus behaving strangely and refused to leave. As a result, we went on temporary lockdown while Safety & Security detained the man until police could arrive. Police took the individual in the custody without incident. At no time did the individual threaten any of our students, but because he refused to leave, we followed our protocols to ensure the safety of our students and staff. We are appreciative of our Safety & Security team and LRPD for their quick response. It takes all of us working together to keep our students safe and I appreciate the support that you provide to Bale every day. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

The lockdown has been lifted. A special thanks to Safety & Security for detaining a man who was having some mental health challenges near campus until police arrived. This did not have anything to do with our school. All students have been released to their parents. Thanks for understanding.

LRSD achieves significant milestone based on latest ATLAS assessment results/cut scores. Div. of Elem&Sec. Ed at ADE announced that LRSD has surpassed the performance threshold outlined by the State & will no longer be required to participate in quarterly Act 1082 check-ins.
Attn LRSD Families: Please be advised that all LRSD schools will be open tomorrow (Tues., Jan 14). Thank you for your patience & understanding as we worked to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, staff, & community. Your support is appreciated. See you tomorrow!
