Dear Parent or Guardian,
LRSD has updated high school attendance zones to establish an attendance zone for West High School, which will open in fall 2027. Your student’s attendance zone has changed from Central or Southwest High School to West High School.
In accordance with the Board resolution regarding high school students, students currently attending Southwest High School or Central High School who are now zoned for West High School may remain at their current school through the end of 12th grade. To do so, however, parents or guardians must officially make this choice through our registration process. This is necessary to monitor and maintain accurate enrollment and registration records for all high schools.
If you would like your student to remain at Central or Southwest, please complete the Student School Preference Form in its entirety. The form closes at 11:59 p.m. on November 20, 2026.

If you have more than one student that you are requesting for, please indicate that on the form and complete the form for each student.
You do not need to take any action in the Student Registration system or reapply. To officially request that your student remain at their current school, simply submit your request using the form above. New assignment letters will be issued in December.
This option applies only to students currently attending Central or Southwest. If your student is a rising 9th grader and zoned for West High School but would like to attend another LRSD high school, please visit the Student Registration website for information about Open Enrollment processes and timelines. You may also contact the Student Registration Office with questions.
If you want your student to attend West High School, you do not need to take any action.
