Some school stories come full circle in the most beautiful ways. For Kennedi Tims, Forest Heights STEM Academy isn’t just a school; it’s a place that has been part of her family’s story for years.

Kennedi attended Forest Heights as both an elementary and middle school student. One special memory from her time there is a Father-Daughter Dance with her dad in 2014. Today, that same school holds a very different role in her life: Kennedi has returned to Forest Heights as a student teacher, preparing to become an educator herself.

And there’s another special connection; her dad is an educator at Forest Heights, too.

From dancing with her dad in the school gym to walking the halls as a future teacher, Kennedi’s journey is a true full-circle moment. The place where she once learned is now helping prepare her to lead and inspire the next generation of students.

It’s a reminder of the lasting impact a school can have, not only on its students, but on their families and the communities they become part of.

Welcome back to Forest Heights and the LRSD family, Kennedi! We can’t wait to see where your journey as an educator takes you.
