The Little Rock School District is ready to launch the 2026-2027 school year in a big way!

On Thursday, August 6, LRSD employees across the district will come together virtually for the annual Back-to-School Convocation, featuring a special LIVE edition of the Wright On Education Podcast. This year's event will celebrate the beginning of a new school year while highlighting the people, passion, and purpose that make LRSD a great place to learn and work.

The excitement begins with a live pre-show at 8:00 a.m., featuring a special performance by the talented Parkview High School Jazz Band. Staff members are encouraged to tune in early to enjoy the music and get energized before the program begins.

Throughout the convocation, employees will hear inspiring messages, celebrate the accomplishments of Team LRSD, and look ahead to the opportunities that await students and staff this school year.

Adding to the excitement, staff members watching from their school sites will have the opportunity to win exciting door prizes, including a 65-inch television. Winners must be present at their school site to claim their prize.
