The Little Rock School District is excited to welcome Jacqueline Rowlett as its new Director of Finance, bringing nearly two decades of experience, innovation, and leadership in Arkansas public school finance to the District.
With more than 19 years of experience in school finance, accounting, budgeting, and financial operations, Rowlett has built a distinguished career centered on fiscal responsibility and ensuring that resources are strategically aligned to support student achievement.
Before joining LRSD, Rowlett served as District Treasurer for the Pulaski County Special School District, where she managed annual budgets exceeding $250 million and oversaw payroll operations for more than 2,000 employees. She also directed state and federal financial reporting efforts and provided strategic financial guidance to district leadership and the Board of Education. During her tenure, the district maintained six consecutive years of balanced budgets and achieved six straight years without material audit findings.
Earlier in her career, Rowlett served as Finance Manager for the Pine Bluff School District and as an APSCN Financial Field Analyst with the Arkansas Department of Education. In those roles, she supported school districts across Arkansas with financial operations and software systems while providing training and expertise at statewide educational finance conferences.
Known for her forward-thinking approach, Rowlett has led numerous technology-driven initiatives designed to improve efficiency and transparency. Her work has included implementing online requisition approval systems, employee self-service platforms, electronic contracts, automated financial processes, and other innovations that have streamlined operations and strengthened accountability.
As Director of Finance for LRSD, Rowlett is committed to ensuring every financial decision supports the district's educational mission. Her focus on accountability, transparency, and responsible stewardship of district resources will help position LRSD for continued success while supporting students, staff, and schools across the district.
Please join us in giving Jacqueline Rowlett a warm LRSD welcome. We are excited about the experience, leadership, and vision she brings to our district and look forward to the positive impact she will make for years to come.
