The Little Rock School District is preparing for an important School Board election on March 3, 2026, giving voters the opportunity to help shape the future of public education in our community. This election marks a key moment for LRSD as the District transitions from a nine-member board to a newly structured seven-member Board of Directors in compliance with a new Arkansas law.
All seats will be open, and the upcoming election will determine who serves on the School Board - the body responsible for setting policy, approving budgets, ensuring accountability, and supporting student success across LRSD schools. Early voting begins Monday, February 17, 2026.
Candidates running for the School Board bring a range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, all united by a shared interest in public education and service to Little Rock students and families. LRSD does not endorse candidates but encourages community members to learn about those running, ask questions, and participate in the democratic process.
