The Little Rock School District rolled out the red carpet for fathers and father-figures at its annual luncheon honoring participants in the “Dads Take Your Child to School” Facebook Photo Contest.
Held Friday at Henderson (the former Middle School), this year’s event drew a crowd more than double the original guest list of 50, reflecting growing community participation and excitement.
Over 250 dads and role models shared first-day-of-school photos with their children on LRSD’s Facebook page, showcasing the power of family involvement in education. The top three dads chose from prizes during the lunch, including dinner for six from Rock N Roll Sushi, Razorback football tickets, or a round of golf at the PG Bradford Tournament. Additional prizes for other attendees include Arkansas State Fair passes and parking. A special shout out to Rock N Roll Sushi, Muskie Harris, Arkansas State Fair and Dillard’s for helping us make this year’s event a huge success!
LRSD knows that children thrive when they have supportive adult connections. This event is more than a contest - it’s a celebration of the men who show up, step up, and make a difference every day.
