The Little Rock School District is excited to announce that it has officially received approval to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2025-2026 school year. This means that all students at most LRSD schools will receive both breakfast and lunch at no charge, regardless of income or eligibility.
This opportunity is made possible through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) CEP program, which allows schools in high-need areas to serve meals to all students without requiring individual applications. It helps remove the stigma often associated with free or reduced-price meals, ensuring that more students can access nutritious food to support their learning.
Breakfast will be offered at no cost to every student across the district, while lunch will also be free at all LRSD schools except Forest Park, Jefferson, and Roberts elementary schools, which will continue to operate under traditional eligibility guidelines.
While meals are free for students at eligible schools, all adults, visitors, and staff must pay full price—$3.00 for breakfast and $5.00 for lunch.
Please note: Students will receive meals at no cost through CEP, so a meal application is not required to participate in the meal program. However, families are strongly encouraged to complete a household meal application at www.myschoolapps.com to determine eligibility for individual benefits such as ACT/SAT fee waivers, college application discounts, internet assistance, and more.
LRSD is proud to continue eliminating barriers and supporting student success by expanding access to free, healthy meals across the district.
