The goal of the LRSD Virtual Academy is to provide students and their families with an equitable alternative to onsite learning. Asynchronous content is delivered online for full-time virtual students. Hybrid students will alternate between one online day and one on-site face-to-face instructional day. All students will take state assessments and other screening exams that must be administered on-site.

Certified LRSD teachers monitor students' progress, participation, and engagement in the Imagine Learning Edgenuity Courseware, a DESE-approved digital provider. Students attending the virtual academy will, in large part, have control over their pace and location of learning management system access; however, students are recommended to a least spend 3 hours per week per course on the platform. All coursework must be completed by the last day of each semester. Content for grade-level general education curriculum is developed by Imagine Learning Edgenuity. All units of instruction are aligned with Arkansas’ Academic Standards.

Students must be enrolled in the Virtual Academy during the open enrollment period or before the beginning of the semester. Transfers during the semester are not accepted.
