Volunteers in Public Schools (ViPS) was founded in 1972 to provide assistance to teachers and other staff members of the Little Rock School District by promoting school volunteerism. ViPS serves as a link between the District and the community while providing patrons and citizens an opportunity to be significantly involved in the education of children.
During the 2021 - 2022 school year, thousands of volunteers contributed a total of 634,528.75 hours! LRSD celebrates volunteerism! Take a look.
The extraordinary circumstances caused by the outbreak of COVID-19 have confronted our entire community with various challenges and complex problems. Needless to say, traditional methods of public education have been tremendously affected and our student population impacted.
Presently, LRSD (summer) schools are open to volunteers. Check the Little Rock School District homepage for current mask protocols.
