GOOD DAY PHMS COMMUNITY,

WEEK FOUR:  PHMS SAFETY & SECURITY SYSTEMS

The beginning of the 2026-2027 school year has been successful. I thank each of our stakeholders (students, teachers, and parents) for their contributions to a positive start.

Monday, August 31st will mark the beginning of the 4th week of instruction. In an effort to maintain structure and order, the following systems will be activated next week.

  • EACH PHMS student has had the opportunity to receive a Student ID Badge. These badges were mandated by the LRSD for security reason and should be worn by students at all times during the school day. Badges will be required for students to receive hall passes and attend extracurricular activities. Lost badges can be replaced at the cost of $5.

  • Class punctuality is vital to student achievement, growth, and performance.

Excessive tardies will result in corrective disciplinary actions

. Likewise, random Hall Sweeps will begin next week.

  • Out of an abundance of safety provisions, random classroom scans will begin next week. Students found in possession of restricted items may face disciplinary sanctions.

  • CELL PHONES MUST be "turned off" the entire time students are on campus. This is a STATE LAW. Students will be held accountable for any lack of compliancy.

PHMS is not responsible for lost OR stolen cell phones (LRSD Policy).
