Graphic from Little Rock School District titled “Optimizing Our Tomorrow: Budget Conversations – Community Meetings.” The top of the image shows the Little Rock School District logo and name over a blue background with charts and data visuals. The graphic explains that the Fiscal Year 2027 budget priorities include spending only the money the District actually has, adjusting staff levels to match student enrollment, cutting overall spending to address long-term budget gaps, building a healthier savings balance for future financial challenges, and protecting programs, people, and resources that matter most to students and classrooms. The graphic invites all community members, especially parents, students, staff, and families, to participate in discussions about the future of the District and its budget. It emphasizes that community feedback is important and reflects the District’s commitment to transparency and listening. The bottom of the graphic lists two community meeting dates: February seventeenth, evening session at five thirty p.m. at Southwest Community Center; and February nineteenth, evening session at five thirty p.m. at Henderson.
Due to inclement weather, LRSD schools and offices will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 26-27. LRSD will continue to monitor conditions and roadways and provide an update by Tuesday on the status of schools for the remainder of the week. Enjoy the snow, and stay safe and warm!

Good afternoon, Pulaski Heights Elementary Parents:
We want to make you aware of an incident that occurred at school today. Some fifth-grade students reported hearing a classmate make a statement about “shooting up the school.” Administrators and our Safety and Security team immediately began an investigation, and no weapon was found. At no time were any students in harm’s way.
While the threat was unfounded, we are proud of the students who responsibly reported what they heard. The student involved has been identified and is being disciplined according to the LRSD Student Code of Conduct.
All is well at PHE, and classes have continued as normal. Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a safe and positive learning environment. Please feel free to contact my office if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
Anna Lloyd, Princpal
