📊 Student Data Day: Empowering Our Lions

This Friday, our Lions will participate in Student Data Day—a special learning experience focused on reflection, growth, and goal-setting.

During Student Data Day, students will work closely with their teachers to look at their learning progress in an age-appropriate way. They’ll celebrate how far they’ve come, identify what they are working toward next, and talk through the strategies they will use to continue growing. Most importantly, students will be encouraged to use their own voices to explain their learning and take ownership of their goals.

Student Data Day is about more than numbers. It’s about building confidence, responsibility, and leadership. By the end of the day, students will be able to confidently say:

I know where I started.

I know what I’m working toward next.

I have a plan to get there.

Our goal is to move from “my teacher told me my score” to “I understand my learning and I know my goals.” These skills help students grow not only academically, but also as self-aware, motivated learners.

📣 Questions or want to learn more?
We value our partnership with families! If you have questions or would like more information about Student Data Day or your child’s learning, please complete the form below and a member of our team will follow up with you.

📚 Roary Reads Rolls Into First Grade! 🦁

Our first-grade students have been exploring different types of libraries this week — and Friday, they got a special visit from Roary Reads: The Mobile Library Cart! 🚐✨

Mrs. Ray brought the library straight to their classrooms, and the excitement was contagious! Students couldn’t wait to pick out a new book and dive into a story of their own. 💙📖

At Dr. Marian G. Lacey K-8 Academy, we believe that reading can happen anywhere — in the library, the classroom, or wherever Roary rolls!
