Happy Holidays from Health Services! I hope you enjoy the December Health Corner Newsletter.

December 2025 Health Corner Newsletter. This page speaks to the Holiday Season as the Season of Giving, but giving doesn't always have to have a monetary value. Sitting with someone, cooking a hot meal for those in need, or sending a note of appreciation . The other highlight of this page is tips on hydration. Water is vital for our bodies and we need to drink half of our body weight each day for optimal hydration.
Heather Mercer the Executive Director for Immunize Arkansas graciously shared that vaccinations are one of the simplest yet most powerful ways we can care for one another. They protect not only the person receiving the shot but also the people around them—especially those who are at higher risk– those who are too young or too ill to be vaccinated themselves. When we choose to vaccinate, we help stop the spread of disease and keep our communities healthy. It’s an act of kindness that extends beyond ourselves, showing that we value the health and well-being of our families, neighbors, and friends.
