This week, Parkview Arts/Science Magnet High School Football held a special dedication to rename their film room in honor of James Rouse! The newly dedicated James Rouse Film Room recognizes his legacy as a Parkview star who later went on to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks and then the Chicago Bears. 🏈 Congratulations to James Rouse and the entire Parkview community!

Big things are happening at Dr. Marian G Lacey K-8 Academy! 🎉 Dr. Terrance Roberts of the Little Rock Nine spoke with student leaders about overcoming adversity. They also kicked off the Chick-fil-A Leadership Institute with Little Rock City Director Antwan Phillips. Huge thanks to Chick-fil-A for supporting our students as they begin a 5-week Chick-fil-A Leadership curriculum for all 6th-8th graders!
Pulaski Heights Middle School's FBLA members had an amazing trip to BoBrook Farms last week! 🎃 They explored the pumpkin patch, learned about local farming, and spread smiles by delivering pumpkins to Briarwood Nursing Home. 🌻 A perfect blend of learning and community service!

Chicot Elementary and Early Childhood Center scholars had an amazing visit from award-winning author and illustrator Vanessa Brantley-Newton! 🎨📖 She signed books and led workshops and assemblies, inspiring students to embrace their unique gifts. Plus, collaborative art is now on display! The visit was part of the CALS Six Bridges Book Festival.

Together with families and communities, we're championing inclusivity for every student.
🌱 Last week, Dr. Janice Mixon’s 6th graders at Dunbar Magnet Middle School welcomed author Lana Williams, a Little Rock native and owner of the Tender Gardener! 🌼 She shared container gardening tips, focusing on potting techniques and plant selection. Sixteen students also won autographed copies of her book, The Container Garden Recipe Book! ✨
