LRSD Board Resumes In-Person Meetings, Public Comments Remain Virtual - Thursday, April 22, 2021
Meetings Transition to In-Person Attendance for LR Board With Virtual Public Comments and Transition to YouTube
The Little Rock School District Board will resume in-person meetings this Thursday, Ap;ril 22, 2021, 5:30 p.m. at 810 W. Markham. However, Public Comments will remain virtual right now.
Additionally, to better serve all of stakeholders, LRSD will begin hosting its Board of Education meetings on its YouTube page and discontinue hosting on Facebook. This transition will allow all viewers access to meetings, whether they have a Facebook account or not. Streaming on YouTube also allows those who are hearing impaired the ability to utilize the closed caption feature, and supports LRSD’s efforts to enhance accessibility on its platforms. For quick access, viewers may type lrsdlive.com into their browsers and be directly connected to the District’s YouTube page.
The District will continue to stream meetings on LRSDTV.org, and broadcast on Comcast Channel 4 and U-verse Channel 99.
The public will be advised of meeting dates on lrsd.org, LRSD's social media sites, and the District's mass notification system: ParentLink. Members of the community may sign up to receive notices from LRSD via ParentLink by registering as a community member on lrsd.parentlink.net, opting to receive news from the District and/or individual schools. Information from LRSD is also shared on the Little Rock School District App - by simply downloading from the App Store on Apple devices or Google Play on Android devices.
