HEALTH SERVICES RECEIVES GRANT FROM INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS (ISEP) TO SUPPORT PERSONAL CARE SERVICES PROGRAM
Little Rock, AR. (December 20, 2019) – Health Services is pleased to announce it has received a $900.00 grant from Innovative Solutions for Educational Partnerships (ISEP). These funds will support the Personal Care Services program, through which “medically fragile” students with special needs receive extensive personal care services in order to remain active participants in the special needs learning environment.
The funds from this grant will provide our Special Education paraprofessionals with the additional supplies needed to most efficiently perform the needed activities of daily living with their students. Being able to provide the necessary supplies will also ensure compliance with infection prevention and control procedures for safety.
The Grant Administrator, Brittany Bailey, MSN RN CNL, serves as the Medicaid Nurse in the Department of Health Services. She oversees the Personal Care Services program and helps the district obtain Medicaid Reimbursement funds from the services provided by our Special Education paraprofessionals.
