Dear LRSD Parents:

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the late school buses during the initial days of this school year. We understand how important reliable transportation service is for your children, and we deeply regret any disruptions to their routines. We want to assure you that we are working closely with our transportation provider First Student to address this challenge swiftly and effectively. First Student has advised us that they are implementing measures to improve performance accountability, which includes a timely response to complaints and plans for strategically optimizing routes to minimize late arrivals in the mornings and afternoons. Please see attached parent letter from First Student.

Each school has a transportation coordinator; please contact the assigned staff person for your child’s school if you need assistance.
