Online Student Registration

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to know to prepare for school on Monday?

If you have not logged onto the Gateway online registration system, it is mandatory that parents complete that process prior to their student being admitted to school, Monday August 13th.  You may register online at for returning students; and at for new students.

Returning students received assignments in February and should report to the school indicated in their assignment letter.

If you received any alternate assignment information, report to that school.

If you are unsure, report to the school for which you are zoned and assignment updates will be made at the school.

Access your school zone information at this link: School Locator Map.

If you are new to the District, you may have already received your assignment, if not, expect a phone call this weekend.

If you are new to the District and unsure about your assignment, report to the school for which you are zoned and assignment updates will be made at the school.

Access your school zone at this link using your current address:  School Locator Map.

What about bus service?

Students who have not received an assignment should go to the nearest bus stop in their neighborhood and ride to their zoned school, unless they have an alternate assignment.

Parents may call the First Student Transportation phone bank at 447-4165 with any transportation questions.  Representatives are available 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.  this Saturday only, and 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

What about school supplies?

If you are unsure about which school supplies your child may need, send them with the basics:  pens, pencils, and notebook paper.  Supply lists will be provided by your child’s teacher/school.  Some supplies will also be available to students through our community partners.

What about meal service?

No child will be denied meal service; however, we are encouraging all parents to complete a meal application at

What about uniforms?

After you report to your assigned school, you will receive uniform information.

NEW! The Gateway Online Registration process for the 2018-19 school year is underway! For new students, click here to use the New Registration Gateway. For the password, enter 01/01/2013 for the student's date of birth.

*Parents must bring all supportive documentation to the LRSD Student Registration Office in order for the student's file to be processed.
