Take a minute and let Pat Riley Jr (2015) or Debby Coates (2011) inspire you.
It's easy to get started following these simple steps:
1. Complete an application.
You may request an application or click here to download and print. Please print the application and bring it with you to a training, mail or hand deliver it to the ViPS office:

(located upstairs in the Fair Park ECC)2. Schedule a training.
Trainings will be available after July 15 in preparation for fall. Trainings will be conducted via ZOOM or in person (no more than 4 at a time) following CDC guidelines. Click here to let us know you would like to attend a training.
3. Work with a child.
We will help you determine the best location and student availability to accommodate your weekly schedule.

Whether you are a volunteer tutoring in our schools or a family member working with your students at home, the videos provided below are great examples of how a caring adult can help a student master reading and increase comprehension.
