Who is LRSD's Nurse of the Year?

Employees

Amy Stuff, R.N., has reason to be proud of her job. As the school nurse at Dunbar Magnet Middle School, not only does she take care of sick students, but she also administers wellness plans for students and faculty, monitors blood pressure and diabetes for several staff members and even conducts a weight loss program for students and staff and helps to promote general wellness by coordinating medical care and social services with local health and community agencies. No wonder she was named LRSD's School Nurse of the Year for 2009! Nurse Amy is a compassionate, caring, skilled nurse who truly is an advocate for her students, which was why several of her peers nominated her for this honor.
