Hall High received a grant from the Public Education Foundation for the 2005-06 school year entitled "A Picture Paints a Thousand Words." The grant provided funds for two classroom sets of Spanish Literature Anthologies for the Spanish for Native Speakers Classes as well as providing funds for art supplies for the art department.

Students chose one story and then created an image that represented that story. The images were carved into linoleum and then printed onto posters. The images were then photographed and converted into iron-on transfers. Students then created their own t-shirts. The final stage of the process will be to make a quilt using one image for each block of the quilt.
