Roberts Students Get Pumped Up for Heart Month

Photo of Roberts CheerleadersFebruary 1, 2018 - February is designated as National Heart Month, and in support of the local chapter of the American Heart Association (AHA), Roberts Elementary School students kicked off their annual "Jump Rope for Heart" event with a school-wide assembly.  The assembly featured a special presentation by AHA representatives who also distributed 3-D glasses for the students to take a virtual roller ride.  Last year, Roberts was named  one of the most "giving" schools for raising $20,000 in the Jump Rope for Heart event.  This year, students plan to double their donations, hoping to raise $40,000.  They are already almost half-way there, having collected $18,000.  If you'd like to know how you can help the school reach its goal, call (501)-447-8300.
