Central Thespians Receive Superior Ratings

Congratulations to the following members of LRCH Troupe 6418 of the International Thespian Society who received numerous awards at the State Thespian Festival.  The troupe is under the direction of Melinda Beith assisted by Kimberly Dade.

The Laramie Project received all Superior ratings and was one of eight plays selected to showcase at the festival as an outstanding production.

The following students were named to the All State Drama Cast: Allison Light, Rachel Haislip, Park Lanford, Logan Loftus and Emily Cheatham.  Alice Gardner was named to All State Drama Crew.

Khloe Richardson was awarded the prestigious Thespian Performance Scholarship.  Members of the Troupe received over twenty thousand dollars in scholarship offers.

Receiving a Superior Rating and an invitation to compete this summer at the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, Nebraska are the following students:  Augusta Fitzgerald, Park Langford, and Grace Lytle in Solo Acting; Allison Light, Will Nicholson, and Khloe Richardson in Solo Musical; Tanner Berry and Emily Cheatham in Duet Musical; Jourdan Lee in Sound Design.

Selected by adjudicators for Best of Show were Will Nicholson’s Short Film, Pro Bono, and Jourdan Lee’s Sound Design.

Will Nicholson presided over the festival as the State Student Thespian Board Chairperson.  Augusta Fitzgerald was elected to the 2014-2015 State Student Board.
