Citizens and parents in the Little Rock School District lend their support as well. In fact, volunteer time totals more than 300,000 hours annually. Voters approved a millage increase in May 2000 to fund needed facility renovations repairs and additions as well as a dedicated fund for maintenance and technology enhancements for both instruction and administration.
